Para ello se ha realizado un estudio en embriones de pollo comprendidos entre los estadios 17 al 35 hh para comprender mejor el proceso de septacion y trabeculizacion ventricular.  por otro lado, se ha inyectado a traves de una rama de la vena vitalina derecha tres volumenes estandar diferentes de sangre de embrion de pollo en los estadios 22, 25 y 29 hh, siendo reincubados hasta el estadio 35 hh.
