El presente trabajo de investigacion esta focalizado sobre el estudio teorico y experimental de este material como detector de radiacion gamma. Se describen diferentes metodos no convencionales de espectroscopia aplicados a estos detectores. Se desarrolla teorica y experimentalmente una tecnica digital de analisis de los impulsos producidos por la radiacion en el detector. Esta tecnica ayuda a entender teoricamente los resultados de la aplicacion del metodo de \u00abrecoleccion parcial de carga\u00bb, sirviendo en el plano experimental para estudiar el fenomeno de transporte de carga en el seno de detectores de hgi2.
