Esta constante del pensamiento balmesiano se manifiesta claramente tanto a traves de toda una teoria del conocimiento, planteada y tratada more humano; como en los modos y maneras de valorar, que, partiendo de la dignidad ontologica del ser humano toman como modo adecuado de manifestarse, una concepcion del progreso y de la civilizacion que no orilla ningun sector significativo de la vida humana. Los valores materiales, morales e intelectuales tienen que estar perfectamente incardinados en su desarrollo para no obviar ninguna faceta de lo humano.
