Se han analizado casi ochocientas muestras, en su mayoria de equidos de la cuenca de guadix-baza (granada), aunque tambien se han incluido algunos fosiles de rinocerontes y artiodactilos y varios yacimientos de otras cuencas espa\u00f1olas. Se ha propuesto una curva paleoclimatica que muestra los cambios generales durante el plio-pleistoceno espa\u00f1ol, contrastados con los datos bioestratigraficos conocidos para ese periodo. Tambien se han realizado algunos analisis de difraccion y fluorescencia de rayos x, ademas de un barrido por microsonda, para observar las diferencias quimico-mineralogicas de muestras de equidos de distinta procedencia estratigrafica.  se ha efectuado, ademas, el analisis isotopico de equidos actuales y se ha establecido la recta de regresion correspondiente.
