Actualmente, la durabilidad del hormigon se basa principalmente en dotarle de resistencia mecanica suficiente y recubrir la armadura con un espesor de hormigon que se calculan sin tener en cuenta la velocidad de penetracion de los agentes agresivos; por lo que se ha comprobado en la practica que la mayoria de las estructuras que presentan corrosion tienen un espesor de recubrimiento insuficiente.  asi pues, en la actualidad es objetivo de diversos investigadores el desarrollo de metodos de calculo del recubrimiento basados en parametros de la microestructura del hormigon y de la agresividad del medio ambiente.  en definitiva, en la presente memoria se estudian varios de los metodos de ensayo mas habituales para la determinacion de la durabilldad de hormigones frente a la penetracion de dioxido de carbono e iones cloruro, y propone dos vias validas para la estimacion del periodo de iniciacion de la corrosion de la armadura.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
