Teresa <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se ha realizado un ensayo clinico del compuesto antimicrobiano fluoroquinolona, ciprofloxacina, al objeto de aportar informacion para un posible nuevo uso clinico en el tratamiento de infecciones bucales. Se ha estudiado el comportamiento farmacocinetico de la ciprofloxacina en un conjunto de 28 voluntarios sanos de enfermedad sistemica tras administracion oral de 750 mg cada 12 horas durante 4 dias. Se han evaluado las concentraciones plasmaticas y salivares y las concentraciones tisulares bucales en los tejidos oseo cortical mandibular, gingival y saco folicular de la ciprofloxacina y de sus metabolitos oxo-, desetilen-, sulfo-, y formil-ciprofloxacina. Los parametros farmacocineticos obtenidos demuestran que la ciprofloxacina se distribuye ampliamente en los tejidos bucales estudiados alcanzandose altos valores de cmax en un rango de tmax de 4 a 6 horas. La eliminacion es lenta en los tejidos bucales estudiados en un rango de 13 a 23 horas.
