El autor ense\u00f1o retorica y leyes en varias universidades y desempe\u00f1o el cargo de cronista de aragon durante el episodio de antonio perez. La obra es en realidad un manual de educacion, dirigido a los miembros de la baja nobleza que desempe\u00f1aban los cargos municipales. El autor sigue las normas retoricas que definian el dialogo renacentista, siguiendo el modelo ciceroniano. Los personajes dialogan apaciblemente entre si, dentro de un ambiente que recuerda el de las academias renacentistas.
