Se han utilizado ratas sprague dawley, y se han determinado las concentraciones hipotalamicas de na.Da y dopac (metabolico de dopamina) mediante hplc y simultaneamente se determino la concentracion de corticosterona (cs) en plasma mediante ria. La administracion aguda de morfina incremento la liberacion de cs y redujo el contenido de na pero no modifico el contenido de da ni la ratio dopac\/da. La administracion cronica de morfina indujo tolerancia a su efecto sobre la na hipotalamica y sobre la secrecion de cs. Durante el sindrome de abstinencia se redujo el contenido de na y se incremento la liberacion de corticosterona. Los bloqueantes adrenergicos y de los canales de ca++ tipo-l antagonizaron el efecto agudo de la morfina sobre el eje hha. Los resultados demuestran que los efectos de la morfina sobre la actividad del eje hha se producen a traves de cambios en la actividad noradrenergica y que los canales de ca++tipo l estan
