Pilar <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se ha realizado un estudio de la resistencia a fosfomicina (fo) en el microorganismo productor pseudomonas syringae pb-5123, determinandose que es impermeable al antibiotico exocelular. Se ha clonado y secuenciado un gen, fosc, procedente de esta cepa, que confiere resistencia a fo en escherichia coli. Este gen codifica una proteina de 182 aminoacidos que presenta homolog\u00eda con atp-amp transfosforilasas eucariotas. Los extractos de las celulas portadoras de fosc en presencia de atp modifican la fo inactivaldola. La modificacion podria ser una fosforilacion ya que se revierte por accion de la fosfatasa alcalina. Adyacente a fosc existe otro gen que codifica una proteina de 173 aminoacidos, cuya secuencia presenta homolog\u00eda con una glutation-s-transferasa (gst) de schistosoma mansoni. Se ha purificado y caracterizado una gst procedente de e.  coli para compararla con fosa. Proteina de resistencia a fo procedente de bacterias nosocomiales y que tambien utiliza glutation. La forma funcional de la nueva gst es un homodimero cuyos monomeros tienen un pm de 24000 daltones. En sus caracteristicas presenta similitud con otras gsdt procariotas pero no con fosa.
