Sin embargo, en drosophila melanogaster, la existencia de este mecanismo era incierta y por ello se plante\u00f3 la b\u00fasqueda de evidencias que probaran la operatividad de este mecanismo de control de la expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica en c\u00e9lulas de drosophila.  as\u00ed se han clonado y caracterizado estructural y funcionalmente el factor eif2b, constitu\u00eddo por cinco subunidades polipept\u00eddicas, y la segunda eif2alfa quinasa de drosophila melanogaster (dperk). Se ha mostrado que la expresi\u00f3n del rna mensajero de dperk est\u00e1 regulado durante el desarrollo embrionario. dperk es una glicoprote\u00edna que se localiza en el ret\u00edculo endopl\u00e1smico (re), es capaz de formar olig\u00f3meros, muestra actividad el if2alfa quinasa espec\u00edfica in vivo e in vitro y es sensible a tratamientos celulares son agentes que promueven estr\u00e9s en el rre. Tambi\u00e9n se ha estudiado el efecto diferencial de distintas condiciones de estr\u00e9s en c\u00e9lulas s2 sobre la actividad de las dos eif2alfa quinasas existentes en drosophila: dperk y dgcn2.  todos estos resultados nos permiten apoyar dos conclusiones de evidente relevancia:  a,- la organizaci\u00f3n estructural y funcional de algunos genes as\u00ed como posiblemente los mecanismos de regulaci\u00f3n de sus productos g\u00e9nicos (en nuestro caso el factor eif2b y las eif2alfa quinasa perk y gcn2) est\u00e1n conservados desde las levaduras hasta el hombre.  b,- el mecanismo de regulaci\u00f3n de la traducci\u00f3n mediado por el if2alfa quinasa tambi\u00e9n opera en drosophila y est\u00e1 conservado a lo largo de la escala evolutiva.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
