Los datos aportados por cada polimorfismo detectado a distintos niveles, nos ofrece unos resultados heterogeneos.  a nivel de loci enzimaticos observamos que la variacion en d. Simulans es ligeramente inferior a la encontrada en d. Melanogaster. Si bien, las poblaciones de d. Simulans estan tan diferenciadas como las de d. Melanogaster.  sin embargo, a nivel de adn, d. Melanogaster presenta claramente mayor diversidad que d. Simulans. Las poblaciones de d. Melanogaster estan bien diferenciadas, pero comparten un numero notable de variantes aunque con distintas frecuencias. No obstante, la escasa variacion de d. Simulans se debe fundamentalmente a diferencias entre poblaciones.
