Se comprueba la importancia de la autoconsistencia en la determinacion de las bandas de superficie (inp(110) y sb\/gaas(110)). Se demuestra que se puede controlar la discontinuidad de banda en heterouniones no polares (110), depositando finas capas de ge y si en la union. Se incluye en el modelo teorico la existencia de difusion de la intracapa en la union polar (100) y mostramos que este efecto es esencial para explicar el comportamiento experimental.
