El nexo de union son las redes de neuronas artificiales y consiste basicamente en el estudio de su aplicabilidad a tres problematicas diferentes con utilidad en el campo de la astronomia: un metodo para clasificacion de objetos debiles, un metodo de proyeccion de una distribucion no dimensional en un espacio de 1, 2 o 3 dimensiones, y un acercamiento a una tecnica de comprension de imagenes digitales.  para la aplicacion de clasificacion ha estudiado una red del tipo perceptron multicapa, tipo utilizado tambien en las demas aplicaciones, en base a la comprobacion, realizada tambien en este trabajo, de que las tecnicas supervisadas son aproximaciones a reglas de decision bajesianas. El metodo propuesto se ha aplicado tanto a datos simulados como a datos observados.  el nuevo metodo propuesto como proyector de una distribucion no dimensional a un espacio menor que 3 dimensiones es comparado con el analisis de componentes principales mostrando que el nuevo metodo no esta restringido a transformaciones liniales.  se propone tambien como tercera aplicacion una tecnica de comprension de imagenes digitales que aunque mostrando tan solo resultados iniciales, se vislumbra una interesante utilidad cuando no se requiere gran precision astrometrica ni
