Carmen <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se han estudiado cuatro aspectos de la ecolog\u00eda de dos especies de colubridos ibericos malpolon monspessulanus y elaphe scalaris: patrones de actividad, anual y circadiana, actividades de termorregulacion, ecolog\u00eda espacial y ecolog\u00eda reproductiva. El estudio se ha llevado a cabo en el campo con ejemplares radio-rastreados. Los resultados mas importantes fueron:  las dos especies muestran un ciclo de actividad anual con un receso durante los meses mas frios y un maximo a finales de primavera-principios de verano.  ambas son diurnas. M.  monspessulanus se revelo mas termofila que e. Scalaris.  ambas especies son termorreguladores activos. Las dos especies presentan periodos de inactividad alternados con periodos de movimiento. La duracion de los periodos de inactividad es mas prolongada en los meses mas frios. Los desplazamientos medios de e. Scalaris son mas largos que los de la ota especie en todos los meses del a\u00f1o de potencial actividad.  ambas especies presentan una sola reproduccion al a\u00f1o con apareamientos en primavera y nacimientos a finales de verano.
