Los volumenes nucleares de ambas capas muestran mayores valores en las horas nocturas y siendo ademas mayores los de la capa cortical que los de la medular y siendo estas diferencias muy significativas.  las variaciones de ambas capas tienen una correlacion muy significativa con las variaciones de los puntos horarios, siendo esta correlacion mayor en el caso de capa medular.  todas las estructuras sinapticas (cintas, esferas y formas intermedias) y las asociaciones de varias de ellas que denominamos campos, muestran variaciones cuantitativas circadianas muy significativas, teniendo todas ellas, excepto las esferas un claro predominio nocturno.  todas las variedades de cuerpos sinapticos y tambien los campos.
