Para ello 82 alumnos que componian la muestra principal, 41 con d.A y 41 s.A d.A de 5 egb, fueron evaluados por sus propios padres, profesores y el propio ni\u00f1o para recabar la maxima informacion sobre las areas social, personal y cognitiva.  una vez seleccionados segun estos datos los 41 sujeto con da en resolucion de problemas se repartieron al azar a una de las 4 condiciones:  entrenamiento estrategico con autoinstruccion con atribucion, otro igual al primero pero sin entrenamiento atribucional, un placebo de no entrenamiento estrategico y un ultimo grupo control o sin tratamiento. Las conclusiones a las que se llegaron es que es el primer grupo con entrenamiento atribucional el que consigue mejoras significativas en las tres areas: cognitiva, social y personal. El segundo grupo consigue mejoras en el area cognitivo y social pero no personal.
