El objetivo de esta tesis es ver si el uso de un injerto de vena es util para la reparacion nerviosa, tecnica que se denomina tubulizacion y se basa en las propiedades del neurotropismo.  material y metodos: se estudiaron 61 ratas de la cepa wistar divididas en 3 grupos: control (11), reparacion inmediata (10 reparadas con injerto de vena invaginada, 10 con injerto de vena no invaginada, 10 con injerto nervioso), y reparacion diferida 3 a 4 semanas tras la seccion nerviosa (10 con injerto de vena invaginada y 10 con injerto de nervio). Se practicaron estudios de e.M.G. A los 2, 4 y 6 meses en el grupo de reparacion inmediata, y al mes y 4 meses en la reparacion diferida. Al finalizar el estudio, los animales fueron sacrificados y los nervios estudiados histologicamente (morfometria).  resultados: los nervios regenerados muestran un enlentecimiento en la respuesta electrica con respecto a los sanos. No hay diferencia entre las distintas tecnicas quirurgicas en cuanto a las caracteristicas emg ni en cuanto a las caracteristicas histologicas. Los resultados de la vena invaginada son mas similares al injerto nervioso que la vena no invaginada. Todos los nervios regenerados muestran axones mas peque\u00f1os organizados en minifasciculos y mas numerosos que los nervios control.  la vena invaginada presenta un mayor numero de axones en el segmento distal.
