Consuelo <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se ha realizado un estudio de las bacterias patogenas de la anguila europea cultivada en agua dulce, abarcando desde su aislamiento en origen hasta la investigacion de su potencial virulento y mecanismos de patogeneidad. Los resultados obtenidos en la caracterizacion de las bacterias asociadas a agua y peces mostraron que la microbiota gram-negativa y oxidativa era predominante en agua, mientras que la gram-negativa y fermentadora era especialmente numerosa en anguilas. Entre esta, las bacterias pertenecientes al grupo de las aeromonas moviles y aerogenicas se recuperaban siempre de anguilas enfermas como microbiota mayoritaria, resultando estas cepas virulentas para anguila en los ensayos de infeccion por inyeccion intraperitoneal e inoculacion por ba\u00f1o. La identificacion a nivel de especie de las cepas de aeromonas se realizo en un estudio de taxonomia numerica basado en 138 pruebas fenotipicas cuyos resultados revelaron que las cepas procedentes de anguila enferma pertenecian a las especies a. Hydrophila y a. Jandaei, mientras que las aisladas de pez sano y agua se clasificaban en las especies a. Caviae, a. Sobria y a.  allosaccharophila sp. Nov.
