En este modelo experimental, la administracion de dos inhibidores de la pkc, h7 y calfostin c, tanto de forma aguda como de forma continua, muestra un efecto beneficioso, recuperando la actividad na+\/k+ atpasa, parametro bioquimico indicador de neuropatia diabetica.  la disminucion de la velocidad de conduccion nerviosa, parametro funcional caracterizado en el mismo modelo animal, no se recupera con la administracion de estos inhibidores. Por ultimo, se ha demostrado una menor defensa frente al estres oxidativo en el nervio ciatico de los ratones diabeticos, caracterizada por la disminucion de la actividad glutation peroxidasa, sin
