En el capitulo ii se presentan algunos ejemplos de la poesia oriental que trata de este tema, para conocer, ademas desde sus raices, la aportacion original de los poetas andalusies.  el capitulo iii. Se trata de la situacion politica y social de al-andalus como desencadenante de una poesia de exilio en al-andalus. El capitulo iv. Trata del exilio como expatriacion en la poesia de al-andalus, asi tambien el capitulo v. Trata del exilio interior en la poesia de al-andalus, y el capitulo vi. Trata del exilio espiritual en la misma poesia, y en estos tres ultimos capitulos se trata del tema detalladamente, de los motivos, los aspectos, los ejemplos, etc., De cada tipo. El capitulo vii trata de la pervivencia del tema entre los moriscos.  el capitulo viii.
