Se han tratado tambien aspectos morfologicos, anatomicos y palinologicos; a la vez se han estudiado la estructura fenetica y genetica de las poblaciones que componen ese complejo a un nivel inicial. Por ultimo, se han empleado diversos metodos para cuantificar las distancias feneticas y geneticas, para tratar de establecer las relaciones filogeneticas y consiguientemente taxonomicas entre las
