El panorama resultante es coherente, pese a los distintos origenes de los diferentes cenobios, que nacen mediante un beaterio en cinco de las casas, mientras que las restantes fundaciones siguen un proceso distinto. Las soluciones arquitectonicas fluctuan segun los periodos, en una adaptacion ejemplar a las necesidades de la orden. La gran calidad de la retablistica, el importante papel de la escultura exenta y la pintura, y una menor representacion en la plateria definen a los aludidos conventos.
