El primero de ellos titulado \u00abla representacion de la muerte en la imagen\u00bb trata de ahondar en la relacion entre la muerte y la imagen y las diferentes representaciones de la misma.  el segundo apartado, \u00abla representacion de la muerte en el cine\u00bb, sigue el recorrido historico de la evolucion y desarrollo del cine y los cambios que ello ha supuesto en cuanto a la representacion de la muerte se refiere.  los tres ultimos bloques abordan el objetivo especifico de la investigacion: la muerte en el cine de hitchcock (1946-1976). El objetivo de la tesis es buscar a traves del analisis de las secuencias de muertes y asesinatos la posible evolucion de la representacion de la muerte, asi como el papel que juega en el desarrollo narrativo y todos aquellos aspectos relacionados con la puesta en escena de la misma.  las relaciones entre el sexo, la comida y la muerte tambien son objeto de analisis.
