Se han realizado estudios de reactividad de los complejos obtenidos, frente al azufre (adicion oxidativa), disulfuro de carbono (insercion al enlace m-s) y diaminas.  los complejos aislados han sido caracterizados mediante las tecnicas habituales de ae, ir, 1h-rmn, 13c-rmn y uv-vis, asi como resonancia magnetica nuclear de 113cd y 199hg, medidas de susceptibilidad magnetica a temperatura variable y espectroscopias ir y raman a baja frecuencia.  siempre que ha sido posible, la caracterizacion estructural definitiva ha sido llevada a cabo mediante difraccion de r-x de monocristal. Asi, se han obtenido estructuras mononucleares (hg(sr)3), (cd(s2csr)2(bipy), (cd(s2csr)3), dinucleares (m2(sr)6) m=zn,cd), heptanucleares (hg7sr)12&#215;2) x=cl,br,i) y polimericas, monodimensional (hg(sr)2) y bidimensional (hg(sr)i). Algunos de estos complejos se relacionan estructuralmente con los centros metalicos de algunas metaloproteinas que contienen cisteina.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
