Se planteo estudiar de una forma global los parametros que optimizasen su cultivo, teniendo como objetivos:  &#8211; estudios sobre la nutricion nitrogenada mediante la aplicacion de un fertilizante mineral convencional y un compuesto organico como el compost de lodo residual.  &#8211; efectos del fotoperiodo sobre la induccion floral y su incidencia sobre el periodo productivo.  &#8211; estudios de los requerimientos termicos y su influencia sobre la produccion y calidad, variando el tipo de cubierta y sistema de calefaccion.  *** conclusiones: la dosis optima de nitrogeno resulto ser 360 gr\/100 m2\/15 dias. El compost de lodo no cubre las necesidades de la planta, pero su eficacia es mayor.  la luz provoca un adelanto e incremento de la produccion.  fotoperiodos de 18 horas repercuten negativamente en la produccion. En cultivos semi-industriales la aportacion de calor aumenta el 30% la produccion.
