Hemos identificado dos poblaciones de proteina microtubular en estas estructuras. Una de ellas es soluble en el cinetoplasma. La otra se encuentra asociada fuertemente a las membranas. Ambas subpoblaciones presentan modificaciones postraduccionales comunes: presencia de la tirosina del carboxilo terminal de la subunidad alfa y fosforilacio. La tubulina de la fraccion soluble se fosforila en la subunidad beta y en residuos de serina.  la tubulina asociada a membranas se fosforila en residuos de tirosina, tanto en la subunidad alfa como en la beta.  la fosforilacion de la tubulina asociada a membranas parece estar modulada por proteasas del tipo de activadores del plasminogeno y trombina.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos
