Los estudios se han realizado sobre muestras reales (frutas, legumbres y cereales) y sobre patrones. A la vista de los resultados obtenidos se ha confirmado la existencia de estos errores. Se propone una nueva metodolog\u00eda analitica que los elimina o minimiza.  paralelamente, se ha estudiado la presencia de otros componentes indigestibles junto con los constituyentes mayoritariamente aceptados como fibra. Los resultados obtenidos han mostrado la presencia de estos componentes, asi como que ejercen unos efectos fisiologicos similares a la fibra alimentaria.  en base a ello se propone una nueva definicion ampliada de fibra o \u00abcomplejo fibra\u00bb que incluya \u00abpolisacaridos indigestibles, polifenoles y proteina resistente\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
