Este aumento se debe a un efecto inductor del tnf sobre el factor nfkb, que se traduce en un aumento en la expresion de la cadena alfa del receptor har para il2, sin tener efecto sobre la cadena beta, ni sobre la secrecion de il2. El rnf secretado endogenamente, inducido por activadores de la proteina cinasa c (pkc), tambien ejerce un efecto (la mayor parte del efecto de esos activadores) sobre la expresion del factor nfkb y sobre la cadena alfa del il2r. No se observo ningun efecto ni del tnf endogeno ni del exogeno, en la induccion de la cadena alfa del il2r, por activadores optimos y completos como esteres de forbol y anticuerpos
