Inmaculada <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Las terminaciones sinapticas (sinaptosomas) de corteza cerebral contienen un compartimento vesicular de acido glutamico que es liberado por exocitosis en respuesta a diversos estimulos. En esta tesis doctoral, se ha investigado los mecanismos que controlan la exocitosis y en particular, el papel modulador de la via de transduccion de se\u00f1ales mediada pro la proteina quinasa c, pkc. En este sentido, se ha descrito que la activacion experimental con esteres de forbol de la pkc potencia la exocitosis de glutamato mientras que el acido araquidonico, inhibe la liberacion de glutamato, por un mecanismo independiente de la pkc. Asi mismo, la activacion sinergistica de la pkc en los esteres de forbol y el acido araquidonico, potencia la liberacion del neurotransmisor glutamato. Ademas, se ha identificado un autoreceptor de glutamato del tipo metabotropico, que esta acoplado a la formacion rapida y transitoria de diacilglicerol, el activador fisiologico de la pkc.
