Estos estudios han permitido establecer que: 1) las fde y la vf de espermios de distintas especies estan compuestas de un numero restringido de polipeptidos no relacionados bioquimica o antigenicamente con proteinas del citoesqueleto o con proteinas contractiles. 2) los polipeptidos de las fde y la vf de espermios de rata pueden ser inducidos a ensamblarse \u00abin vitro\u00bb en estructuras macromoleculares altamente organizadas formadas por la asociacion lateral de delgados filamentos de 2-3 nanometros de diametro. 3) las fde y la vf de espermios de rata ensambladas \u00abin vivo\u00bb estarian tambien formadas por la estrecha asociacion lateral de delgados filamentos. 4) los polipeptidos de las fde de espermios de rata serian sintetizados en forma altamente sincronica
