La modelizacion se ha llevado a cabo de forma fundamental, empleando los datos cineticos, de equilibrio y de transporte de materia verificados en el laboratorio a partir de experimentos independientes.  se ha estudiado, en primer lugar, el efecto de la concentracion de producto (hasta 3 kmol\/m3) sobre la cinetica, el equilibrio y la difusion intraparticula en un margen de temperaturas de 303 a 333 k. Los coeficientes de transferencia de materia en la interfase gas-liquido en el reactor de lecho fijo escurrido, se han determinado en un margen de velocidades superficiales de 0.002 a 0.02 m\/s para el liquido y de 0.005 a 0.05 m\/s para el gas. De esta forma, los datos experimentales comprenden diferentes regimenes de flujo del reactor (flujo escurrido a flujo pulsante), lo que ha permitido estudiar el efecto del cambio de regimen sobre los coeficientes.  el nuevo modelo desarrollado para la hidratacion de isobuteno se ha implementado en un programa informatico que simula un reactor integral. La comprobacion del modelo se ha llevado a cabo por comparacion entre los datos de reaccion predichos y los obtenidos experimentalmente en un reactor a escala de laboratorio.  por ultimo, se ha estudiado la sensibilidad de la conversion de isobuteno respecto a los diferentes parametros de operacion, haciendo especial enfasis en el efecto autocatalitico de la reaccion de
