Con el fin de hacer frente a esta exigencia ha surgido una nueva tecnolog\u00eda, denominada genericamente fabricacion integrada por computador (cim).  en esta tesis se presenta un sistema de informacion de apoyo a las actividades realizadas en un entorno cim, que satisface las necesidades de integracion de la informacion en un sistema de fabricacion. Para ello, se han seguido las directrices de step (estandar para el intercambio de datos del producto) en lo referente a formatos y tipos de datos de la informacion intercambiada. Este sistema se basa en una arquitectura original que permite una gestion de la informacion que cumple con los requisitos especificos de las aplicaciones de ingenieria, donde los datos, muy estructurados y complejos, y con multiples ligaduras entre si, tienen que ser manipulados como una sola entidad.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Una
