Este algoritmo es una extension del algoritmo propuesto anteriormente por el doctorando para integrar la ecuacion de transporte. El sistema propuesto consiste en separar las fases convectiva y difusiva de la ecuacion e integrarlas ambas a lo largo de las curvas caracteristicas.  las aportaciones mas significativas de la tesis consisten en demostrar que una reinterpretacion del metodo convencional ef-mmoc en terminos de la metodolog\u00eda de particulas, en mallas rectangulares, conduce a un eficiente esquema numerico. Tambien se concluye que el esquema implicito de euler es optimo cuando ambas fases del algoritmo se llevan a cabo en el mismo espacio de elementos finitos; mientras que el esquema de crank-nicholsin es optimo cuando la fase difusiva se realiza en un espacio de elementos finitos del tipo q.  otra de las novedades propuestas en la tesis es la realizacion numerica de las dos fases en diferentes
