El interes tecnologico de estos materiales hace necesario el estudio de las condiciones de obtencion de monocristales de gran tama\u00f1o. La optimizacion de dichas condiciones requiere, ademas, el estudio fisico-quimico de las soluciones madre.  se han realizado estudios de solubilidad, densidad, viscosidad y conductividad electrica de las soluciones k2so4-mgso4-h2o y k2so4-mnso4-h2o, ademas de las de dos componentes mgso4-h2o y mnso4-h2o; concluyendo que la introduccion de k2so4 favorece la formacion de unidades de crecimiento tipo langbeinita.  de los experimentos de cristalizacion se dedujo que las sobreestructuraciones necesarias para la formacion de la langbeinita de mg son siempre mucho mayores que para la de mn(ii) debido
