Se pretende ademas lograr una potencia de calculo maxima con la tecnolog\u00eda disponible.  por este motivo se ha seleccionado una arquitectura multicomputador, tambien conocida como computador concurrente basado en paso de mensajes, que permite la ejecucion paralela de algoritmos de tds.  el analisis de los procesos de comunicacion y de sincronizacion junto con la topolog\u00eda de la red de interconexion se concreta en la eleccion de una red en hipercubo binario dotada del mecanismo conocido como \u00abagujero de gusano\u00bb (wormhole).  el sistema qbz, dise\u00f1ado en la tesis, contiene 16 nodos cuyo numero puede aumentarse de forma inmediata. Cada uno de ellos contiene un elemento de proceso, un controlador de red y un controlador de nodo. Este ultimo se encarga de liberar al elemento de proceso de las tareas no especificamente numericas. La comunicacion intranodo se realiza mediante un bus local compartido. La comunicacion internodos sigue una topolog\u00eda hipercubo binario. Para un elemento de proceso tipico (tms320c30 de texas instruments) por nodo, la potencia de calculo se estima en 256 mflops.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
