En el resumen que aqui se presenta se pueden destacar dos partes fundamentales:  &#8211; analisis de la respuesta temporal de determinados dispositivos, suponiendo ideales y considerando sus posibilidades en estructuras utiles para codificacion.  &#8211; estudio detallado del dispositivo fotonico mas elemental: el acoplador direccional, teniendo en cuenta y analizando su comportamiento no ideal.  finalmente se propone una tecnica para caracterizacion y se realizan medidas experimentales de acopladores, las cuales constatan las predicciones teoricas resumidas
