Partiendo de los fundamentos de estas propone una metodolog\u00eda de mantenimiento predictivo basada en el comportamiento presente e historico de los componentes integrantes de un proceso industrial. Para ello define un conjunto de conceptos cuyo objetivo final es caracterizar de manera continua el estado de salud de cada uno de los componentes objeto de estudio.  una vez definidos estos conceptos, la metodolog\u00eda utiliza una serie de procedimientos de analisis basados en tecnicas de analisis temporal y espectral de la vida del componente, capaces de extraer conclusiones de la comparacion del estado de salud del componente en la actualidad y en periodos de tiempos pasados.  de la informacion obtenida de la aplicacion de los procedimientos de analisis, la metodolog\u00eda puede hacer una estimacion de la evolucion de la posibilidad de que suceda un fallo y\/o sea efectiva la accion de mantenimiento. Finalmente, un plan de mantenimiento predictivo puede ser concebido a partir de estimaciones resultantes anteriormente y de un estudio economico que tenga en cuenta la oportunidad de realizar el
