La segunda parte va analizando y describiendo los distintos estudios y teorias que sobre barreras acusticas se han formulado hasta el momento. En la tercera parte se desarrolla el concepto de potencial de capa simple y capa doble, y el concepto de operador integral, para seguidamente estudiar la unicidad de la solucion del problema para los casos homogeneos tanto de dirichlet, neumann y robin, con la descripcion de los metodos de ecuaciones integrales para los problemas exteriores validos para todo numero de ondas. La cuarta parte, aplica las ecuaciones integrales de burton y miller al estudio de las barreras acusticas mediante el metodo de los elementos de contorno, del cual se han programado las ecuaciones y
