Objetivos de la investigacion: 1) indagar el origen y la fundacion de el magisterio espa\u00f1ol y de la editorial de libros de texto, del mismo nombre 2) recuperacion de 147 ejemplares que no se encontraban en la empresa 3) analisis de la \u00abseccion organica\u00bb, actualmente editorial, como valiosa aportacion de informacion educativa. 4) evaluar la influencia profesional y social del periodo y 5) se\u00f1alar los rasgos mas caracteristicos de la personalidad del fundador y primeros colaboradores.  ambito y fuentes consultadas: a) cada uno de los ejemplares de el magisterio espa\u00f1ol. B) revistas de educacion y diarios de la epoca. C) libros, catalogos, anuarios y hojas pedagogicas. Las fuentes no bibliografias son: la propia realidad educativa. Centros de investigacion y asociaciones profesionales.  experiencias de la epoca. La copia de documentos en diez bibliotecas de Madrid, Valencia, zaragoza, teruel, vitoria y cuba principalmente.  metolog\u00eda: se ha utilizado la metodolog\u00eda historica y el analisis de contenido. Las variables han sido las correspondientes a la seccion organica, subdivididas por los a\u00f1os del periodo que se estudia.  las conclusiones provisionales: encuentro con el fundador, con un segundo director. Recuperacion de los ejemplares. Reconstruccion total del \u00abproyecto\u00bb y agencia, precedente de la editorial de libros.  legislacion. Datos estadisticos. En suma: la aportacion principal ha sido descubrir y sistematizar un conjunto de datos que enriquecen los diversos niveles y dimensiones del sistema educativo durante el periodo 1866-69, que pueden
