Carmen <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El sistema respiratorio de p.-Hispanica consta de traquea y pulmones. La traquea posee un epitelio formado por tres tipos celulares: celulas secretoras similares a las celulas pulmonares productoras de surfactante, celulas ciliadas y endocrinas. En la traquea se ha observado un elevado numero de terminaciones nerviosas intraepiteiales en contacto con celulas secretoras y, ocasionalmente, con celulas endocrinas.  mediante la tecnica inmunocitoquimica del complejo avidina-biotina se han obtenido doce inmunorreactividades (ir) en nervios y cinco en celulas (pgp 9.5, nse, cromogranina, th, serotonina, calcitonina, cgrp, bombesina, substancia p, phi, vip, npy, pyy, leu-encefalina, et1, pro-et1 y nos. Se ha observado colocalizacion de ir para serotonina\/calcitonina y serotonina\/calcitonina\/cgrp en celulas y para cgrp\/substancia p en nervios. El estudio ultraestructural ha permitido identificar tres tipos celulares endocrinos en el sistema respiratorio de p.
