Jose <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se ha llevado a cabo un estudio de los cambios redox que experimenta el complejo f1-atpasa mitocondrial y mediante modificacion quimica se han determinado los grupos implicados en dichos cambios. Los resultados indican que distintas situaciones redox conducen a diferentes conformaciones que se manifiestan por su distinta actividad hidrolitica. Preparaciones de f1-atpasa sometidas a condiciones reductoras estables experimentan cambios conformacionales ciclicos a lo largo del tiempo.  en la base de estos cambios conformacionales se encuentra la ruptura de uno o mas puentes disulfuro que provocan la liberacion de grupos sh esenciales para la actividad atpasa. Los distintos cambios redox son diferenciables mediante electroforesis en gel de poliacrilamida y se ha revelado la existencia de un complejo alfa-gamma en condiciones no reductoras. El estado redox tambien modifica el grado de union del peptido al complejo atpsintasa asi como la reactividad de las tirosinas esenciales.
