Ello exige el analisis cientifico de las propiedades electricas y mecanicas de cada una de las peliculas e interfases. Para que de hecho el conjunto forme un dispositivo aplicable, debe estudiarse cada capa con la mirada puesta en el proceso global. Por ello ha sido necesario armonizar los aspectos cientificos con los tecnologicos, y los estudios individuales de cada material, pelicula o propiedad, con los globales del dispositivo, sus prestaciones y su proceso de obtencion.  la estructura incorpora cuatro materiales: acero inoxidable, dioxido de silicio, niquel-cromo, y cobre u oro. El desarrollo involucra cuatro procesos de deposito por sputtering y tres procesos de fotolitografia. Como consecuencia de los resultados obtenidos, se han optimizado las propiedades electricas y mecanicas de las peliculas delgadas, y han quedado establecidos los procesos para la fabricacion de un modulo sensor multicapa piezorresistivo.
