Es la correspondiente proteina homologa en rata de la p63mapk-erk3 like humana, con la que comparte un 94,5% de la secuencia de aminoacidos. La proteina quinasa rmnk2 presenta a nivel de secuencia de aminoacidos una homolog\u00eda de un 76% con la erk3 de rata, y un 45% con la rmnk1 (erk1) y erk2 de rata.  este hecho sugiere que la familia de las map quinasas estaria formada por dos subfamilias una de ellas comprenderia a rmnk1 (erk1) y erk2, y la otra a erk3 y rmnk2.  se ha detectado la presencia de mrna de rmnk2 en cerebro y pulmon de rata adulta, siendo su nivel de expresion extraordinariamente bajo. Por el contrario, no hemos detectado su presencia en corazon, ri\u00f1on, higado y bazo de rata adulta. Mediante una experiencia de hibridacion \u00abin situ\u00bb, se ha detectado la expresion de rmnk2 en plexo coroideo e hipocampo de cerebro de rata adulta. Tambien ha sido puesto de manifiesto la presencia de su mrna en somas neuronales dispersos del tallo del encefalo, nucleo estriado y corteza.  el analisis mediante \u00absouthern blot\u00bb de dna genomico de rata, nos sugiere que el gen de la rmnk2 posiblemente es de copia unica y de peque\u00f1o tama\u00f1o (25 kb).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
