Por este motivo, es de gran interes el desarrollo de metodos capaces de potenciar \u00ab\u00bbin vivo\u00bb\u00bb esta respuesta celular.  en este trabajo se muestra que es posible inducir \u00ab\u00bbin vivo\u00bb\u00bb una respuesta citotoxica mediante peptidos sinteticos sin usar ningun tipo de adyuvante. Se observa que para que un peptido sea activo debe contener una secuencia reconocida por los ltc (determinante t citotoxico) y una secuencia reconocida por los linfocitos t \u00ab\u00bbhelper\u00bb\u00bb (determinante t helper). El peptido debe ademas ser capaz de entrar en la celula para acceder a la via de procesamiento de clase i.  asi, los peptidos riqrgpgrafvtigk-kqiinmwqevgkamya (riq-kqi) y riqrgpgrafvtigk-fiseaiihvlhsr (riq-fis) fueron capaces de inducir ltc \u00ab\u00bbin vivo. Se dan evidencias de que los motivos kqi y fis pueden ser responsables de la internalizacion de los peptidos en las celulas.  se ha observado ademas que esta induccion puede llevarse a cabo en ausencia de las cd4+ cuando el peptido es capaz de activar celulas cd8+ que secreten il-2. En este sentido se demuestra que el determinante t citotoxico riqrgpgrafvtigk (residuos 315-329 de gp160 de vih-1) actua ademas como determinante t \u00ab\u00bbhelper\u00bb\u00bb para celulas cd8+.  en este trabajo se observa que los ltc inducidos con un peptido de 30 aminoacidos que contiene la secuencia 315-329 de gp160 de vih-1 son capaces de reconocer y lisar celulas infectadas por un virus vaccinia que expresa gp160 de vih-1.
