Esta propuesta ha demostrado ser particularmente util en la formulacion de una version modificada del metodo de particion de los intervalos de deformacion, donde el criterio propuesto de dividir la deformacion inelastica en sus componentes plastica y de fluencia lenta se ha justificado por la introduccion de una velocidad critica de deformacion que marca la transicion desde un regimen dominado por deformacion a traves de la matriz a un regimen dominado por deformacion a traves de las juntas de grano, suponiendo una ecuacion independiente de da\u00f1o para cada modo de fallo ocasionado.  el desarrollo de esta propuesta ha requerido el estudio del comportamiento a fatiga de bajo numero de ciclos y fatiga\/fluencia lenta de un acero inoxidable austenitico aisi 316 l a 600 y 625 grados
