Las gamma-hidroxisulfonas asi obtenidas son los precursores de la sintesis de sistemas carbonilicos alfa, beta-insaturados alfa-sustituidos. Por otro lado, el 2-(clorometil)-3-tosil-l-propeno reacciona con heteronucleofilos y derivados de grignard asi como con electrofilos bajo condiciones barbier. Su monoanion reacciona con halogenuros de alquilo, siendo ademas el precursor de la ruta sintetica que conduce a los 1,3-dienos 2-sustituidos. El derivado dilitiado del 2-(clorometil)-3-tosil-l-propeno reacciona de muy distinta manera con distintos electrofilos rindiendo productos dialquilados, metilenciclopropanos, ciclopentenos, 2,5-dihidrofuranos y tosilmetilentetrahidrofuranos, todos ellos conteniendo al grupo sulfona. Finalmente, se ha estudiado la eliminacion reductiva del grupo sulfonilo de los productos citados anteriormente con amalgama de sodio.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
