En este trabajo proceden de rio tinto (huelva), siendo pues las impurezas mas importantes: oro, plata, selenio, teluro, arsenico, antimonio, plomo, niquel y bismuto. Los lodos pueden contener tambien sulfato de bario y cobre elemental ya que el primero se utiliza como desmoldeador en la fundicion de anodos.  se presenta una exhaustiva y actual busqueda bibliografica que muestra la dificultad y la confusion en los resultados sobre la solubilidad de los distintos metales presentes como impurezas, asi como una falta de cuantificacion y eliminacion selectiva de aquellos que garanticen ademas el cumplimiento de la normativa medioambiental vigente respecto a aguas residuales y demas residuos para dichos procesos.  a continuacion siguen los apartados destinados a su caracterizacion y posteriormente los destinados a la descripcion de la eliminacion de las impurezas en una secuencia coherente estudiando a su vez la influencia de las diferentes variables sobre cada uno.  finalmente se presentan los diagramas de flujo de los posibles procesos y los resultados de sus diversas etapas, mostrando una sintesis que alcanza a conseguir los objetivos propuestos tanto por la posibilidad de tratar los lodos anodicos en condiciones medioambientales favorables, como economicas y todo ello con el minimo numero de
