Los resultados obtenidos han permitido establecer un modelo general que contempla las interacciones disolvente-disolvente y la solvatacion preferencial de distintos tipos de soluto por alguno de los componentes del disolvente binario o por la estructura compleja resultado de las interacciones disolvente-disolvente.  otro de los problemas de interes estudiados ha sido la variacion de la constante de autoprotolisis con la composicion de la mezcla. Se han establecido los equilibrios ionicos que definen la constante de autoprotolisis en una mezcla binaria disolvente organico\/agua y se ha desarrollado una ecuacion teorica que relaciona el valor de la constante de autoprotolisis de una determinada mezcla con la composicion.  tambien se ha estudiado los equilibrios ionicos en mezclas isopropanol\/ agua y se han propuesto ecuaciones que permiten el calculo del ph, el potencial de referencia, y las constantes de disociacion de electrolitos. Se han obtenido ecuaciones que relacionan el pk de una sustancia con la composicion y se han aplicado a la determinacion del pk en agua pura de algunas sustancias
