Albicans construida en un vector autorreplicativo se aislaron tres clones diferentes, denominados pca18, pca47 y pca51, capaces de complementar el fenotipo termosensible de los mutantes.Dichos clones fueron capaces, adem\u00e1s, de desbloquear, al menos paracialmente, la secreci\u00f3n de invertasa y de carboxipeptidasa y cuando la cepa mutante se incub\u00f3 a la temperatura restrictiva. De \u00e9stos, tan s\u00f3lo el denominado pca47 contiene un gen cuyo producto puede estar directamente relacionado con el mecanismo de translocaci\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas en la membrana del re: el gen spc3, el cual codifica uno de los componentes del complejo de la peptidasa se\u00f1al. El gen spc3ca fue capaz de complementar el fenotipo termosensible de mutantes spc3 y sec61 de s. Cerevisiae. Sin embargo, a diferencia de lo que ocurre con el gen hom\u00f3logo de esta especie, el gen spc23 de c. Albicans no complement\u00f3 la termosensibilidad de un mutante sec 11 de s. Cerevisiae.Dicha complementaci\u00f3n habla a favor de la estrecha relaci\u00f3n funcional que debe existir entre los complejos proteicos que constituyen el transloc\u00f3n y la pepetidasa se\u00f1al.Los dos clones restantes aislados por complementaci\u00f3n (pca18 y pca51) no parecen contener elementos, al menos conocidos, que se relacionen con el fen\u00f3meno de la translocaci\u00f3n.  por otra parte, medianye hibridaci\u00f3n con una sonda hom\u00f3loga, se consigui\u00f3 aislar el gen sec 61 de c.
