El primero, el c\u00e1lculo del agua que se acumula y queda atrapada en la cubierta del garaje de los buques ro.Ro., Debido al oleaje.  posteriormente y debido a la realizaci\u00f3n de dichos ensayos, se enfoc\u00f3 la investigaci\u00f3n hacia la respuesta del buque durante el transitor de la inundaci\u00f3n. este proceso result\u00f3 ser mucho m\u00e1s peligroso para el buque de lo esperado, por lo que se le considera la principal aportaci\u00f3n del trabajo.  el estudio del transitorio de inundaci\u00f3n despu\u00e9s de una colisi\u00f3n se enfoco en primer lugar hacia la inundaci\u00f3n de los comportamientos estandar solas que le producian la mayor p\u00e9rdida de estabilidad. Despu\u00e9s y debido a su importancia en el proceso, el estudio se dirigio hacia el comprotamiento del agua tanque estabilizador sim\u00e9trico al da\u00f1ado con el que est\u00e1 conectado por
